Abstract: This article describes the application of the theory of time-optimum control in the industrial process controlling system. It is found that for objects having time delay, static error cannot be eliminated entirely only by relay control, thus a time-optimum controller with linear region is designed. A comparison between the said controller and the conventional PID controller is given through both analog and field experiments.
