Abstract: This paper proposes the concept of dynamic hierarchical distribution of process control, and aims at exploiting the power of the hierarchical and the dynamic approaches in DPS (Distributed Problem Solving) domain. In order to realize a coherent cooperation among the decentralized processors, the hierarchical control is an effective way. However, it must be organized dynamically to meet the changing problem-solving environments. Besides, some heuristic knowledge should be developed to guide the dynamic hierarchical distribution of the control.
