The Design of Robust Deadbeat Control Systems with Minimal Control Energy

Abstract: By use of the transfer-function factorization approach, a new design method is proposed for robust deadbeat control systems with minimal control energy. This method uses the twodegree-of-freedom controller structure to realize the minimal-energy control under the condition of guaranteeing the internal stability and optimal robustness. The design procedure is essentially trade-offs between settling time and coorol energy. The bound of such trade-offs is derived and a method is given to select the most appropriate settling time.
