Abstract: A brief description of generalized stochastic Petri nets (GSPN) is introduced in this paper. By distinguishing the markings of GSPN into vanishing markings and tangible markings and eliminating vanishing markings, the computational complexity is reduced. An example of application of GSPN to a manufacturing system model is presented. An inhibitor arc is used to eliminate the conflict of the manufacturing system model.-
